I began my woodworking journey through the Chicago Park District program, Youtube university and the pages of Fine Woodworking magazine. I very quickly branched out to the first of a couple shared wood shops. I currently have built out our two car garage as a four season shop of my own.

I get immense joy from gardening. Starting seeds at the end of January, brightening up the winter doldrums to basking in the bounty of an August tomato glut.

I love baking sourdough bread and simmering stocks.

Essentially, if there is a more intensive, manual, traditional way of doing something, I will find it massively appealing.

I have a two year old son who is already picking up tools and getting dirty. I spend most of my free time daydreaming about all the things we will one day make together.

I am always seeking new skills, new teachers, and new ideas.
